NOTES

A few years ago wool decanted designs launched The Maltings Beanie (originally named 15@themaltings). We were experimenting with botanical dyeing on our first blend of British wool, vintage 20. By far the most popular colour was the burnt orange of the cosmos plant. Now we have recreated that with th, which we’ve named Solara - after the orange wine of the same name.

Tasting Notes:

vintage 23 is a deliciously soft blend of wool fibres from Polwarth, Romney and black Shetland sheep.
vintage 20 is an equally soft blend of fibres from Shetland and Bluefaced Leicester sheep. It was the first wool decanted blend, and is still special!

The Beanie:

Solara is knitted in our 4ply yarn, using 2 strands held together to create a luxuriously soft, airy fabric that feels warm yet light on your head.
