The Colour Pop mittens are knitted flat and sewn up at the edge, leaving a 2” gap for the thumb. Knit 2 the same.  Using wool decanted Vintage 23 DK yarn you should be able to get 2 pairs of mittens from 2 x 50g skeins of yarn.

 

Finished measurements (after blocking):

Circumference, at widest point: 7.5”/19cm

Length: 8”/20cm

1 x 50g skein wool decanted Vintage 23 DK, in Colour A

1 x 50g skein wool decanted Vintage 23 DK, in Colour B

Wool decanted vintage 23 DK (112m/122yds per 50g)

Needles:

3.25mm/US 3 needles for knitting flat

3.50mm/US 4 needles for knitting flat

(Note: we knitted the mitts flat using interchangeable circular needles with a 16”/40cm cable)

 

Gauge:

22sts/32rnds = 4”/10cm in stocking stitch, after blocking

 

Notions:

1 tapestry needle for sewing up side, and weaving in ends
